AI POLICIES AND REGULATIONS IN LUXEMBOURG

Luxembourg has not adopted multiple regulations for AI governance as compared to other European countries, Although it approved a National Strategy on AI  in 2019.  The country’s strategic vision for AI is built on ambitions to be among the most advanced digital societies globally, support a data-driven and sustainable economy, and promote human-centric AI development. Luxembourg’s governance and regulation of AI involve coordinated governance, infrastructures, and policies, a regulatory framework supporting research as a driver for innovation, and the integration of science into society. The country’s commitment to AI is evident in its steadily growing public funding for research and development, reaching 1.7 billion euros for the 2022-2025 period, reflecting a focus on impactful research outcomes.
